Assurance text messages re a data upgrade

I've gotten multiple texts saying I'm being upgraded to 1gb of data by November 2nd, but my phone can't use data. I emailed a customer service rep that had been helping me and not gotten a reply. I need a new phone, the buttons aren't working well, the tiny free phone doesn't with with my hands anymore, and if I in fact have data somewhere, it sure would be nice to be able to use it
