Activation problem

Just bought a galaxy a6 unlocked from best buy because I didn't want to wait for shipping from buying it off the virgin mobile website. When I try to enter the code to swap devices it says the phone cannot be used on their network. But the same phone is for sale on the virgin mobile website. So I'm confused. Do I need to get new Sim card and not use my old Sim card? Idk.

So I can return the phone and just order the phone off the website and that one should work, correct?

@Vinnieb: Yes, as long it's a Virgin Mobile phone, it will work.
