It's curious to me that Virgin & Assurance are selling similar phones, yet according to the Assurance website, the Virgin phones are not compatible with Assurance.
I don't know how that could be. Take for example the Samsung J3 Achieve. On the Virgin website, that phone is $69.99. The same Samsung J3 Achieve is $119.99 on the Assurance website. Outside of the $50 price difference, the phones are identical.
The phone I have now was purchased off the Virgin website. It may sound crazy, but the phone is working just fine with the Assurance Wireless service.
What is that all about?
Hey there! Thanks for reaching out to us. In this case, for the best customer experience, we encourage customers to use the handset sent by Assurance Wireless. We do not guarantee a Virgin Mobile phone will work well with Assurance Wireless.
They were slow to, but finally got back to me.
