Code 97 - Message not sent


Code 97 - Message not sent

Hi. I keep getting an error message when trying to send texts. (I was able to send and receive fine this morning.)
I get the following message after the text fails:
"Code: 97  Account Error: Message not sent.
Please contact customer care and report a code 97 when sending messages."

I have tried turning it off and on. Turning it off and leaving it off.
Again, it worked a few hours ago. 

I've sent an email to customer care and see a few posts in the archives here, but hoped to get some help sooner rather than later.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Core Prime (yes, it's old but still work[ed] fine!)



Re: Code 97 - Message not sent I may have fixed this myself. Though it's odd..

Last week, I turned off a few apps that I didn't use. So, after posting this, I went through the apps I had turned off and turned Google Play back on. Within a minute, I got a text from someone I asked to keep trying. 

I don't worked earlier today and over the weekend after turning off Google Play. It shouldn't have any impact on texts sending/recieving...but it appears to be working now.
