Virgin Mobile recently had a Cyber Monday sale so I bought two phones - Samsung Galxaxy J7 Refine and LG Stylo 4.
I'm wondering why the box for the Stylo 4 is just simple box and not the Virgin Mobile boxes that are glued shut. When I opened my Fedex package, the Stylo box was opened and the phone just slipped right out. There is no instruction manual. It makes me think this Stylo is refurbished. I'm a bit disappointed because I paid $99 for a new one and I expected better quality.
Has anyone bought the Stylo 4 that can show me what their box looked like?
Also, here is a closer image of the box. Look at the left side of the picture. The phone doesn't even fit in this box. It is making a bulge in the box. This what caused the box to pop open inside the Fedex package.
I was wondering the same same thing. Mine looked the same. Both my son and I thought it looked a little suspicious. There isn't an instruction book to explain certain things either.
Oh hey, thanks for the reply. It makes me less worried since ours looked the same. I followed this guide to check some info on the phone, such as call time, call count, and reconditioned status. I had 0 for call time and count, no for reconditioned. Can you check yours to see what you have? I still haven't started using my Stylo to be safe.
I would still like an answer from Virgin Mobile.

I was being deceived and Virgin Mobile's dishonest business practices. In my situation, I ordered a new LG Stylo 4 phone but what I received was a used "generic brand", opened box, missing accessory, and the phone was inside a plain white box (non-orginal LG Stylo 4 box). The phone looks as if it was ordered off the Craigslist. First I asked for a new phone replacement, I waited and kept in contact with Virgin Mobile for a month with no solution from Virgin Mobile. After over a month, still no solution so I asked for a full refund but still nothing! I'm not even sure if I will ever get a refund or any kind of result from Virgin Mobile. Anyone out there looking to change phone company then look elsewhere becasue Virgin Mobile is not what it use to be a decade ago with good customer services and the Sprint (Virgin Mobile) network can not be compare to other big company networks. I use to trust and believe VM but after being a customer for over a decade VM did not value my loyalty. Maybe it is time for a new change for me since competition these days are enormous. FYI Virgin Mobile: It is only fair, I or any customers whom buy a new phone BUT receive a used phone, opened box, missing accessory, and phone that was stuffed inside a non-orginal box from you SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING INCLUDING SHIPPING COSTS because you DID NOT DELIVER WHAT YOU PROMISED YOUR CUSTOMERS!

Unfortunately the way you have explained the situation, the phone has lost the return eligibility since you wanted to return it after a month. Also, there are no options to waive the shipping fee or not paying anything in this specific case.
Hi Jeffc! One day after I received Virgin Mobile's opened box, non-original LG Stylo 4 phone, used, and missing accessory I contacted VM right away. At first I want a new phone replacement but VM has been escalated this issue til day and still no answer from VM yet! It was VM's fault for stalling the situation for over a month now. So if you want to do the right thing, if you value honesty and your customer's loyalty then please just give me a full refund plus no shipping costs because it was your fault for sending me a used phone, for stalling my time, and waste more of my money. VM should have took care of this issue a long time ago instead of waiting for angry and frustrated customers to complaint at the VM Community Thread.
I had the same issue fought with Virgin Mobile for weeks to get a refund. A dozen different people had to "investigate" the issue before they gave us an address to send it back. Mine did not come in a Virgin Mobile manufacturer box -- just a plain white box that the phone did not even securely fit into. In fact, the phone had fallen out of the white box in shipping and had almost no other padding. VM claimed that they were "going green" by using less packaging. So you risk the quality and shipmen safety of your product to "go green"? Everything was just thrown inside. The phone had dust and fingerprints already on it. Obviously not a new phone. I refused to activate it. Once they finally accepted the return, I repurchased the phone from Best Buy (they honored VM's price) and received a new phone in proper packaging.
