Hi there Turlagh. This issue is caused when trying to update or download app on a slow internet connection (Mobile Data or Wi-Fi). So make sure you have a working internet connection. The error is very frequent in slow networks so try to connect to a different Wi-Fi or use Mobile Data LTE/3G. After connecting to the new network try to install/update your app.
