Moto G6 play hotspot problem

Hello,

My G6 play will not connect to the network when I try to use it as a hot spot. I purchased the 30 day hotspot add on pack, received a software update(I assume to unlock the feature), but when I try to use the HotSpot I keep getting a message. Same message as if I didn't unlock that service.
"UNABLE TO CONNECT TO DATA NETWORK: YOU MAY NOT BE SUBSCRIBED TO HOTSPOT SERVICE....."

I have restarted my phone several times.

Hi there Redacted! Did you complete the activation of your Community account using the email the system sends you? This could be the reason why you are not able to see the private message option to the right. Please try sending me a private message. Click my username or picture, then click "send this user a private message".
