I just purchased a Moto G7 Play from Virgin as a replacement for an older LG (also Virgin). I have been able to transfer some of the info from one phone to the other (contacts, etc.), but I can't make/receive calls or texts. Now I am getting a "SIM CARD LOCKED" message that prompts me to cycle the power, but repowering does not help. I am unsure whether I made an error when setting up or if I need another sim card, but I'm disappointed and could use some assistance.
eta: I am also getting a "Sim card not provisioned for voice" message.
Same thing is happening to me right now with a moto g7 play as well...performing a factory reset after speaking to a representative and having them do nothing for me...
Now all my MEID numbers are swiped to zero on my phone, so not sure what the Rep did...
I will update you if I fix this on my own.
P.S. Dialing ##72786# did not work either.
