I recently ported over my number to a new Verizon Wireless account. However, some texts and calls aren't going to my new phone under Verizon, but they are being sent to my old Virgin Mobile phone.

Hello, I'm having the same issue. I just activated my new phone and am able to send texts with it, but all responses are sent to the old phone.
Hi there! You will need to unregister your phone number from iMessage. Please, try the following: If you still have the iPhone go to Settings > Messages > Turn iMessage off. If you don't have the iPhone, go to: https://selfsolve.apple.com/deregister-imessage, enter your phone number to deregister from iMessage, and click Send Code.
