Let's face it, stuff happens. Like, you forget your phone at the restaurant. Or you accidentally drop it on the sidewalk. Without insurance, bad luck could cost you big time.

That's why Virgin Mobile has partnered with Brightstar Device Protection (formerly eSecuritel), a leader in device protection, to offer Phone Insurance to our customers.

For $7/month you'll be covered in the event your Virgin Mobile phone is lost, stolen, accidentally damaged - even with liquid, or has an out-of-warranty mechanical or electrical breakdown.

If something happens to your phone, just file a claim by going to or calling 1.844.534.3098. Once your claim is approved, you will pay a nonrefundable deductible and may receive your replacement phone in as little as one business day. Simple as that.

After you enroll, your Phone Insurance subscription will be effective on your next monthly payment date. Your device must be fully operational and have no physical damage at the time of enrollment to be eligible for coverage.

  • Your monthly Phone Insurance premium is $7.
  • Your nonrefundable deductible will be $50, $100 or $175 depending on your phone*.
  • You are eligible for 2 approved claims within a 12-month period beginning on the date of the first replacement. There is a per claim limit of a maximum of $1,500 inclusive of accessories.
  • Your replacement phone will be a reconditioned one of like kind and quality.  In the event a reconditioned phone is not available, the replacement will be a new phone of like type and quality.
  • Phone Insurance is optional and is not required to purchase the phone or to activate wireless services.  If you cancel between monthly billing cycles, you will receive a prorated refund or credit for any unearned premium. *For customers that enroll at time of purchase, coverage starts at 12:01 AM on the date and timezone of your enrollment. For customers that enroll after time of purchase, but within 30 days, coverage begins at the start of your next monthly payment cycle. Your device must be fully operational and have no physical damage at the time of enrollment to be eligible for coverage.



Note: If you are bringing your own device, you won’t be eligible for phone insurance coverage – but you should still check to see if you are eligible for Apple Care.
