SOLUTION: Apple iPhone 8 - Some Call Services Can Now be Found in Settings

Symptoms

 

Some call services that were previously only available via * codes are now available via Settings > Phone.

 

These services include:

  • Call Forwarding
  • Call Waiting
  • Show My Caller ID

 

 

Solution

 

Customers may experience the following when making changes to these services:

  • If there is no cellular coverage, these cannot be configured. No impact if device is connected to Wi-Fi within cellular coverage, but if a user is in Airplane Mode (no cellular), connected to Wi-Fi, these services will remain unconfigurable.
  • There can be a slight delay (5 seconds) when making changes (enabling/disabling) to these settings as the phone communicates back with Sprint services.
