Activation problem

I’ve been trying to activate my new iPhone 8 and port my number for about 2 hrs. I’ve followed the steps to reset network settings and dial clear and update, but my carrier is identified as sprint, not virgin (old carrier = Verizon). I need assistance but can’t make any calls from the phone, not even to customer service. Help please.

@Shhbabe Hey there. Could you let us know if you're triyng to port in the number from Sprint to Virgin Mobile or from Verizon? Where did you purchase the IPhone 8 that you want to activate? - E.J.

I got a call back from Virgin support; they needed my Verizon pin to process the switch. With that, my service was switched over in about 20 minutes.
