Can I bring a Galaxy S9+ to my VM plan?

I have an S7 right now and I want to buy a Unlocked Used S9+ from amazon and switch my phone to that one. I don't know if they allow that and when I try to check they ask for the IMEI code or something on the phone box to check but I'm not going to buy the phone if I can't bring it to VM, and idk if VM takes the phone if I don't buy it.

Hi there, @rcortez95! Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately, Bring Your Own is not available for Android devices. Only iPhones are eligible right now. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Are iPhones still the only devices that one can purchase unlocked and have on their Virgin account?
