Can no longer disable voicemail

I have had virgin mobile service for years now, and there has been no issue with disabling my voicemail. It would always pop back on when I upgraded phones, so no biggie, just a simple call to support and its back off. But now it keeps coming back on after I call support to have it disabled 2-5 days later. Is there any way to just get rid of it like I had before? I have called support at least 3 times now and no one has been any help as of yet.

Hi, klarusboi. Our Company policy is that all phone numbers must have a voicemail box. It is a free service and removing it can cause problems with the Customer's voice service. We can't remove the Voicemail. The system will check to see if the service has been removed and add it back.

So how do we go about disabling the voicemail on my account? As a customer, it is my policy to not have voicemail on my phone. You guys have been able to do it in the past.
