Hi, I have had my Virgin SIM for about seven years and have always just purchased unlocked phones and installed my SIM in them with no issues. I'm ready to replace my current phone, but i was told that Virgin now uses phone-specific SIM cards and users can no longer just choose any unlocked phone. My question is this: will this somehow still apply to me even though I am using an old SIM that should be compatible with a new unlocked phone? It seems like the answer would be no and that I can just buy a new unlocked phone and install my SIM as I always have, but I don't k ow enough about these things to be sure. Can someone please advise? Thanks.
