I am moving to Madrid in a week and a half and I need my phone unlocked to use it with a Spanish service abroad. I have already talked to Virgin and learned that I need to have owned my phone for a year before it can be unlocked but I have not had it that long. It will unlock late November. I was wondering if there was any way to expedite the unlock process, and if not, will I still have to pay my monthly phone bill (even though I won't be using it for 3 months) in order for my phone to unlock in November? Will it unlock automatically or will I have to call Virgin again?
Hello, @marcela. Thank you for stopping by. Unfortunately, there's no way to expedite the unlock process, if you won't use the phone you don't need to pay it. However, the account may get cancelled. In order for you to unlock the phone, you'll need to contact Virgin Mobile. -Kira_M.
