i attempted (unsuccessfully) multiple times to order an iphone 7 from the virginmobile website a week ago. i called and was told i would be transferred to sales department which was an even longer hold than the original call. i asked the customer service rep if i purchased the phone from boost mobile (i had no issue ordering there), the iphone 7 could be moved over to virgin. i’ve had this done in the past with a sprint device being unlocked by virgin (with only two calls to virgin..) is this still the case? can i use the device swap option or have to call to have virginmobile activate the new iphone for me?

Most iPhone 7 phones will work with Virgin Mobile if they’re unlocked and were previously used with Verizon Wireless, Virgin Mobile, Boost Mobile or Sprint (but service must be terminated for 60 days or more for phones used with Virgin Mobile, Boost Mobile or Sprint). ~AmyM25
